I just stayed awake finishing All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, her first YA title due out in January. It’s wonderful… Couldn’t put it down.

That’s a tongue twister…librocubicularist. I like the way it sounds and I enjoy reading stretched out on my living room couch. The cat likes to hang out at my feet and gives me an excuse to have long stretches of reading. I just finished reading Diane Chamberlin’s book, “Necessary Lies,” which was hard to put down once I got into the story. I hope to read her next book out as I enjoy her writing. Now I have my writing to attend to as I’m trying my hand at a YA book. It’s a learning process and reading a good book always gives me clues on how to be more succinct in scenes and dialogue.

Ah, I couldn’t live without my book at bed time! I’m just about finished with the ARC of a historical fiction novel and then I’m off to read The Rosie Project (better late than never, since the sequel is coming out next year).
