Week 2: The River Witch by Kimberly Brock | Featured Book Club | Online Book Club
Welcome to the She Reads online book club. Each month we choose a novel as our featured selection and meet here for conversation and enlightenment. This is a place where you will meet new authors and new friends, find great books and good humor. Grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and introduce yourself!
ooooohhhh… yes, I didn't fully realize that, even though they were on a remote island, they were largely (if not completely) unplugged. Awesome! How funny is that? We are so plugged in that we hardly notice when someone (even sweet fiction characters) are unplugged ; )
This book has got my mind a whirlin'… in a good way
Oh, and I really love that you are so active here on the DB. It's really neat to be able to interact with you, hear your insights and get the inside scoop on the story.
What you said in response to Teresa's post (about the human experience being universal) is so true. It's so cool how you worked this into the story.
And, I'll definitely be looking to see how the cultures and characters mirror and
contrast one another from her on out. After reading Teresa's post, I totally see how that has happened already. Great insight, Teresa!
Kimberly, I agree with Shelly. I love that you're here and interacting with us. And what you said about all of us being in the same boat is so true. Sometimes we feel like we are alone in all of this, but we do need to remember we are not alone.
