It's finally time! I tried to wait until the last minute to give everyone a fair chance of winning this month's wonderful prize — a KINDLE!!!

The winner is . . .

Congratulations, Shelly!!!

As you may have noticed, Shelly is one of the mainstays around here. In fact, as of today, she has left more comments than any other reader. It is my GREAT pleasure to let her know she's won. :):):) Please send your mailing address to me at laurapolkwrites@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for your sweet words, Laura and Teresa!

Whooooooooaaaaaaa!!!!!!   Thanks, She Reads ! What a wonderful surprise this morning! I was just getting on here to leave comments for the 1st week of The Guest Book (am LOVING IT) and saw the announcement!

Honestly, I was not expecting to see my name at all.

I've seen people who only post 1 or 2 comments throughout the month win.

I've seen top poster Lane Hill House win.

I've seen regular posters like Teresa and Linda win.

But I usually don't win things, in general (not kidding); so I've not been surprised to not see my name on the winner's list month after month.

Now, my husaband… that's a different story. I call him "The Luckiest Dog" because he regularly wins random drawings and just has the best luck imaginable. Not me. So, imagine his shock (in more ways than 1) when I started screaming from downstairs….

"You've got to get down here; you've got to get down here. Hurry!"

As he breathlessly descended the stairs, I pointed to the computer and said, "I think I've won a kindle!"

I had to get him to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

I recently realized I actually need a Kindle for when I travel. I give up clothes space in my suitcase for books just to have my favorites/current reads with me. This will make things SO much easier!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
