She Makes It Look Easy by Marybeth Whalen

She Makes It Look Easy is a novel for every woman who has looked at another woman’s life and thought I want what she has.

Ariel Baxter has moved into the neighborhood of her dreams-and the chaos of raising three children moved with her. Then she meets her neighbor, Justine Miller. Justine ushers Ariel into a world of clutter-free houses, fresh-baked bread, homemade crafts, neighborhood playdates, and organization techniques designed to make marriage better and parenting manageable. Soon Ariel realizes there is hope for peace, friendship, and clean kitchen counters. But when rumors start to circulate about Justine’s real home life, Ariel must choose whether to believe the best about the friend she admires or consider the possibility that “perfection” isn’t always what it seems to be.

Marybeth Whalen has been married to Curt for 19 years. They have six children and regularly answer the questions: “Are they all yours?” “Are they all from the same marriage?” “Are there any twins?” and “How do you do it?” (Answers are as following: yes, yes, no, and we have no idea!) When not chasing children or trying to schedule a date with her husband, Marybeth enjoys writing, reading and serving as co-director of She Reads, where she does her part to share fantastic fiction with other women who love a great story. She is the author of The Mailbox, and She Makes It Look Easy.

Isn’t it so true that we often think others have it all together bu the reality is we are all on a different journey spiritually and that is reflected in our lives. Where ever we are He is not far away. Looking forward to reading the book.

  8. shannon Brown says:

I actually have already read the book “She Makes It Look Easy” and it is WONDERFUL!! I actually could relate to both characters in different ways, and most of us really could. Without the help of my heavenly Father, there is no way that I could be the Woman, Wife, Mother, and Friend that I need to be. When I lean on Him, I can have it all. It may not be easy, but with His Grace, I am all the He wants me to be…. Thank you for such a wonderful place for us to be able to come and find wonderful books, that can “take” us away for a little while… Shannon Brown
