I enjoyed reading your post! Stepping out on faith is scary . . . As I have gotten older and started a family it seems scarier still. We all have dreams. Hearing about you overcoming your fears, and God blessing your step of faith is inspiring. I hope I can one day say the same. Thank you!

Thank you for the giggles today! I’m excited to get to know Jenny through her writing – the healing power of humor is amazing. I personally have a fear of financial hardship. For most of my adult life the Lord has been placing several requests on my heart to trust Him with our finances. It wasn’t until last June when I got pregnant and lost my job that I started taking Him seriously. The struggle with my fear has been a journey, some days are better than others, but I continue to grow with His help.

fear is something I deal with ( fear of rejection is a big one, fear of inadequecy, fear of others laughing at me…) and oh how I desire to draw nearer to God.
I love to read. and to read fiction I like it to be something I can learn from.

I was talking to the Lord this morning about all the fear in my life and then I opened up your devotional. What a blessing. Looking forward to reading your book when I’m finished with my current one. Love the excerpt from your book! I can totally relate to your fears and the way you put it into words! Made me feel good to know, I’m not alone, I’m not the only one! lol Even if I don’t win, I am sure to save up my pennies and get the book! The last few years it seems like my entire exsistance is based on my irrational fears! At least I can recongize that they are irrational; yet it is hard to get outside of my own mind! My fears range from the typical fear of flying, to failing, to loosing everything! Life is scary but at least at the end of the day I know the Lord is by my side and even if for just a moment I can escape my own thoughts and let God take over I can rest easy for a good night’s rest… God Bless you!

Ya’ know, maybe one of the most important things to get from this, is that we aren’t the only one with fears and that we all need to rely on and trust God. It is so easy to caught up in our own little worlds and let our fears grow to monstrous proportions. Trusting God and reaching out to those around you (who may be facing worse demons than you) is often the first step to conquering fear. I face quite a few fears that threaten to send me crawling not under the covers but under the bed. Prayer is frequently the only thing that gets me out from under that bed. Can’t wait to read the book and learn more about confronting and conquering!
