Blog Carnival Extraordinaire

***Update: we have selected our winner (using www.random.org) and commenter #124, Danielle Resnick, is the lucky recipient of both novels, the chocolate, and a lovely homemade card. Danielle has been contacted via e-mail and as soon as she responds with her address, will have her prize shipped. Thanks for participating, everyone!

Today we are excited to participate in a blog carnival with several of the ladies from Proverbs 31 Ministries. Here’s how it works: we’re all giving stuff away and if you see something you want, just click the link to enter. Easy. Fun. And free! What could be better than that?

This week we’re celebrating love. Love of books. Love of writing. And the love that brought author’s Chris Coppernoll and Christa Parrish together in a story fit for a novel. We’ve been visiting with them all week and you MUST read the Valentines Day Post on how they met and fell in love. These gifted and wonderful writers are giving away copies of their new novels, Screen Play and Watch Over Me, chocolate, and a homemade card. Simply leave a comment on this post to enter.

Sometimes the person farthest away from you is the one closest to your heart . . .

At thirty, Harper fears her chances for a thriving career and tru love are both fading fast.  But when Harper is offered an unexpected role in a Broadway play – as understudy to New York’s biggest diva-she wonders if everything is about to change.

Hoping to find love in NYC, Harper reluctantly signs up for an online dating site-but the only match Harper is even remotely interested in lives thousands of miles away.  An actress who doesn’t act, searching for love with someone she’s never seen, Harper longs for God to show her He’s still listening.

Through the contemporary text-message world of Internet dating, Harper learns it’s possible to care for someone outside her own universe.  And as she reaches out through the impersonal world of cyberspace, she becomes more aware than ever of god reaching out to her . . .

Her rescue might be the miracle they needed…

Things like this don’t happen in Beck County.

Deputy Benjamin Patil is the one to find the infant girl, hours old, abandoned in a field.

As police work to identify the mother, Ben and his wife, Abbi, seem like the obvious couple to serve as foster parents. But the newborn’s arrival opens old wounds for Abbi and shines a harsh light on how much Ben has changed since a devastating military tour.

Their marriage teeters on the brink, and now they must choose to reclaim what they once had or loose each other forever.

I love love love to read. I am an English major and love to study literature and dive into a new book. Reading is an escape and books are like little treasure boxes just waiting to be opened. Once I read them they are stored safely on a shelf until I am ready to relieve their adventure, or give it away to a friend who needs encouragement through the crisp pages of a world I once fell in love with.
These books look fabulous! I just added them to my must read list :) I have been looking for some great Christian Fiction reads and just happened upon this site today. She Reads just became an instant favorite, book marked for future browsing :) Thanks for the contest, this is too fun!!!

  16. Moranda Clark says:

These books sound amazing! My marriage has just ended. We had been separated for 3 years and I was praying for a miracle and that our marriage could be restored. We were just divorced this month. I believe God has a new beginning for me. I am trying to press into Him and allow Him to guide and direct my path. I believe that once I draw closer to Him, He will open up the door He has ready for me. I do truely believe that could be restoration with my husband and if not, I will praise Him anyway!

These books both look really good, but the authors love story was even better! That was so sweet and obviously from God. Only He could have brought two people together who live across the country from each other and weren’t looking for love. I’m so glad their story ended so wonderfully and I only hope that one day my love story can be anywhere close to that sweet :)
